Baked Mashed Yam


Hello People,
Welcome to Myfood Exploit where I explore simple food stuff I lay my hands on. My style is simple,, fast, healthy, nutritious. For people who are busy sometimes you just need to get food prepared quickly and move onto other things.

This weekend my daughter Schnelle and I found ourselves exploring Yam. Join us to explore

Baked Mashed Yam

Ingredients:
8 medium sized slices of boiled Yam
2 fresh eggs
2 tablespoon of butter
Seasonings of your choice
Chopped spring onions

 

Method: 
  
1.   Mash boiled Yam with butter to become fluffy.


 


 
2.     Mix with Spring onions and seasonings.



 
 

   4. Using fork, with mashed yam mixture with eggs to form a dough. 
 


 
5. Grease your pan, meanwhile pre-heat your oven, if you use halogen oven, no need to pre-heat.





6.     Shape your dough into balls and lay them onto baking tray.

 


 
7.     Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until it’s golden brown on the outside.

 


 
8.     Serve with a any gravy and protein of your choice. 

 




Note: This is a dry dish and it needs a very moist sauce or gravy to go with it.
